과거와 과거진행 - UNIT 11 ~ 17

(~이었다 / ~했다 / ~하는 중이였다 / ~했었다) 를 배워보자

 

시제 : 말하는 시간을 중심으로 사건이 일어난 시간의 앞뒤를 표시하는 문법 범주

 

be동사 과거 시제

was/were : ~이었다, ~에 있었다

Yesterday, she was in the hospital.

You were at the theater last night. How was the movie?

 

부정문 - wasn't(was not) weren't(were not)

He was not(wasn't) cold.

I was not(wasn't) good at math in high school.

 

의문문

I can't remember the end of the movie. Was I asleep?

Were you busy yesterday?

 

일반동사 과거 시제

동사원형 + -ed : ~했다

He walked to school yesterday

Eric was bored, so he watched TV

 

부정문 - didn't(=did not) + 동사원형

I did not enjoy the movie.

a : How was the movie?

b : I didn't enjoy it.

 

의문문 - did + 주어 + 동사원형

a : Did you like the movie?

b : It was boring. I fell asleep.

 

과거진행 시제

was/were + -ing : ~하는 중이였다

He was playing the guitar. 그는 기타를 연주하는 중이였다.

I was taking a shower when Lisa called. 나는 샤워중이였다 리사가 전화할때.

Vanessa was sleeping at 6 a.m. Now, she is making breakfast.

 

부정문

He was not practicing. He was sleeping.

 

의문문

Was I taking too loudly? 내가 너무 크게 말하고 있었니?

 

 

used to

used to + 동사원형 : (과거에는) ~했었다 (지금은 아니다)

He used to be a football palyer. 그는 미식축구 선수였다. (지금은 아니다)

I/he/she/it - was, wasn't(was not)

we/you/they - were, weren't(were not)

I/he/she/it/we/you/they - did, din't, used to

추가설명 - do 는 1인칭, 2인칭 또는 복수일 경우에 사용하고, does 는 3인칭 단수일때 사용하며, did 는 과거형의 경우, 인칭이나 단복수 구분없이 사용한다.
